God created everyone and everything to fulfil purpose. God granted the Israelites freedom from 430 years captivity so that they would serve and make a feast unto Him in the wilderness. The 

people actually came out of Egypt and made a feast unto God in the wilderness. When Moses called for offering for the 

building of the sanctuary, they 

gave more than enough until he restrained them – Exodus 36:5 

However, wilderness was not the final destination. God intended to take them to Canaan, the Promised land. The purpose was to fulfil the covenant with Abraham and 

to reunite them to God. The Israelites lost sight of the purpose. Instead of them to serve, they began to complain. Once people start complaining, they can’t comply with the word of God which is the manual that defines divine purpose. That generation of Israel fulfilled just one purpose – making a feast in the wilderness. They could not enter next level. God may not reveal everything to you once.
